Still Not Out
On 4 August 1986, to celebrate the centenary of the famous Stoddart match, Stoics arranged to play Hampstead again but their suggestion that the match should be played under 1886 rules was politely declined. The game, which Stoics won, was covered by London Television News. A notable spectator was Keith Miller, the former Australian all-rounder, who sat alone on a boundary bench and declined invitations to join people in the Pavilion saying that he had come to watch a bit of cricket history.
